Many lament the loss of the great Dallas landmark that was the Good Latimer Tunnel. Some exceptional art that was truly representative of the region met its demise to make way for progress in the form of the DART Rail. These shots of the mural-to-be are from Saturday July 25, 2009. Look forward to this weekend, when it looks like the finished product will be ready for the public.

And it is awesome. Kinda reminds me of Tracy Morgan. Now he's streaming his life on Ustream. It's guaranteed to be exciting. The latest I heard he's yelling about being drunk and high, IN his Celtics game shorts and nothing else, while the Ustream staff toiled in the background to set up cameras around his house. Will I get anything done this weekend?

The team's hamburger-peddling sponsor has really scored with another marketing gem. On the
inside of the jersey. That's right. The inside of these Joma-designed duds come equipped with an inverted image of the King. No, not Elvis — we're talking about that crazy one from all the BK commercials that somehow freaks a lot of people out.
In case you haven't heard, the legendary Dallas venue is set to re-open in about a month. Trees has played host to epic performances from the likes of Nirvana and Beck and with the DART Rail coming to Deep Ellum soon we can only hope the neighborhood will once again thrive. Check out this slide show of the inside of the venue under construction.

Always a hot choice ever since their 1988, the adidas ZX 9000 has been constantly reinvented by way of some of the freshest colorways on the block. These new jawns are definitely no exception, tricked out in a light aqua and shockingly bright blue. I can defintely add these to the list my all-time fave ZX 9000s. My birthday IS next week (hint-hint).

For those of you that were looking forward to The Paper Chase show this Saturday at Rubber Gloves in Denton, I'm sorry but I have a classic good news/bad news scenario for you. Paper Chase front man John Congleton has lost his voice and will not be able to perform. The good news? Astronautalis will be replacing them on the bill, which also includes Sarah Jaffe and The Boom Boom Box.
