Well isn’t that clever? Spanish soccer team Getafe debuted their new uniforms earlier this week. While the design is fairly ho-hum, save the gigantic Burger King logo splashed across the front, the team’s hamburger-peddling sponsor has really scored with another marketing gem. On the inside of the jersey. That’s right. The inside of these Joma-designed duds come equipped with an inverted image of the King. No, not Elvis — we’re talking about that crazy one from all the BK commercials that somehow freaks a lot of people out. I love him. And I love the fact that Getafe’s goalscorers this season of flipping their shirt up and donning the King’s visage over their own. What a classy blue-blood move on the team’s part.

Brilliant!

I think they are on to something.

Always a hot choice ever since their 1988, the adidas ZX 9000 has been constantly reinvented by way of some of the freshest colorways on the block. These new jawns are definitely no exception, tricked out in a light aqua and shockingly bright blue. I can defintely add these to the list my all-time fave ZX 9000s. So apparently some knight left this in my parking lot yesterday and what kind of a friend would I be if I did not share some of the chivalrous swashbuckling of the pen that this man has used to seduce what must be thousands of beautiful maidens? The last time I submitted something to Found Magazine, I don’t think it ever made it public and the world would be done a disservice if that story were replicated. So go on, young knights-in-training, and use this missive as a lesson for how we can all be just a little bit better at attracting the fairer sex. Hell, if you’re lucky, you may even be able to get Sir Schell to mentor you–if he has time to return your letter that is. And for all you ladies: remember, “Fine Bitchs Only 4 Pen Pal,” so don’t even try and front.

Preseason basketball is here and it seems that at least one local establishment is decidedly unsatisfied with all the negative attention that Josh Howard has recieved as of late. SMU-area haunt Milo Butterfingers had this to say about the Wake Forest product, who at this point seems a far ethical cry from his fellow Demon Deacon alums Tim Duncan and Chris Paul. Not only does the bar hang this signed jersey upside-down, but they make sure as many people see it as possible by putting directly next to the front entrance. We’ll keep an eye on the status of this–maybe Josh can play his way back from the Land Down Under if he can put together some solid play after the first quarter with any kind of consistency.

P.S. Note the Barry Sanders Oklahoma State(?!) jersey that the bar also proudly displays–right-side up.

Eric Wareheim, of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! fame has created a stunnig video for MGMT’s song “The Youth.” If you like these comedians like I do, this video is a must. Also, worthwhile for anyone with even a passing interest in breakdancing.

Those familiar with what is perhaps the grooviest part of the city of Dallas are familiar with Matilda St., who along with McMillan serve as the preferred conduits for those inhabiting the Lower Greenville area. I mean, everyone knows that only tourists and cops drive on Greenville. So you can imagine this East Dallas native’s surprise when I went to visit my mom today and saw that both signs at the street’s intersection with Mercedes have been replaced with impostor “Mitilda” signs. I mean, who spells it like that? With all the street name change business going on in this town as of late, maybe someone actually took some initiative. Or maybe this is some new sort of vandalism that can mark its origins to my home town. Probably not.

So it’s pretty safe to say that DJ Z-Trip is a genius. Well, he’s put out yet another one of his precious mixes, this time focusing his laser on the upcoming presidential elections. First I heard of the above incident involving the police pulling the plug on a Rage Against the Machine anti-RNC concert in St. Paul. That’s fine, Rage will muscle on, performing a capella with the help of a megaphone. Looks like mayhem in the streets the night of McCain’s speech now, though, as twitterers MnIndyLIVE and coldsnaplegal tweet live from what seems to be quite the chaotic situation. Protesters on the Marion bridge are being harassed and threatened to be arrested. Keep in mind that these are peaceful protesters, oh yeah and I forgot to say that they’re seated. There’s also reports of tear gas and concussion grenades being deployed at another location. Minnesota law enforcement must have gone batty — did anything like this happen in Denver?
