In case you haven't heard, the legendary Dallas venue is set to re-open in about a month. Trees has played host to epic performances from the likes of Nirvana and Beck and with the DART Rail coming to Deep Ellum soon we can only hope the neighborhood will once again thrive. Check out this slide show of the inside of the venue under construction.]]> Check out these photos of the inside of Trees from earlier today. In case you haven’t heard, the legendary Dallas venue is set to re-open in about a month. From these shots it looks as if the layout will be about the same as it was before, only they are re-doing everything. That’s all for now. (yay)

Caught these guys at the House of Blues Dallas Saturday night and I must say that they were amazing.  They played an eight-turntable set and each of them had a foot pedal for sampling.  And they played nothing but original 45s.  All of their activities were recorded with cameras, which they used liberally to show the crowd exactly how sick what they were doing was. No Serato.  really had a lot of fun. I suggest checking out this show if these guys are coming anywhere near you because you will not soon see turntablism like this again.

Radiohead, The N. Period’s selection for top album of 2007, just announced that Dallas will be on their ’08 tour, meaning that there will be just about a decade between their trips to the Big D.   This show should be worth the wait. Cities announced on the U.S. tour include:
